Install Telnet Client on Windows

Telnet is usefull command line tool for working with TCP/IP networking protocol and creating remote sessions. Telnet is not installed by default on Windows 7/8/10/11 and need to be enabled to be used. Here I will take you through the steps you need to perform to install it in your system.

Step 1: Go to Windows Start menu and open "Control Panel".

Step 2: Choose "Programs" or "Programs and Features".

Step 3: Click on "Turn Windows features on or off".

Step 4: Tick the "Telnet Client" box and click "OK" button.

Once you have completed all the above steps, the Telnet Client will be installed on your system and ready to use.
